Volunteering

Edmonton is well known for its success in hosting world class events, in large part to the many dedicated and generous volunteers who live in our city and the surrounding area.  If you want to get involved in something Big, we need fun people to help Edmonton host the 2010 CCMA’s.

CCMA Volunteer Criteria
• Must be available for a minimum of 3 shifts during CCMA week (September 8 – 12, 2010)
• Available to attend an information session in advance of the event
• Past Volunteer Experience
• References from Past Volunteer Experience
• Interest in Country music
• Preference will be given to those volunteers who can assist for the duration of the CCMA

Volunteer Positions

Drivers – must have valid Alberta drivers license, provide a Driver Abstract and be available for shifts Tuesday September 8th – Monday September 13th, 2010.

Registration Desk Staff – must be friendly and organized to help set up registration area, greet conference delegates, hand out registration packages, and sell special event tickets.  May also be required prior to CCMA week to help with registration bag stuffing. Must be efficient with computers and Excel spreadsheets.

Greeters – Friendly and outgoing volunteers to greet guests at Edmonton International Airport, all Conference Sessions at the Shaw Conference Centre and CCMA Events in various venues around the city

Office Assistants – Computer knowledgeable staff required to assist in the CCMA office located at the Shaw Conference Centre

Information Desk - Approachable, knowledgeable volunteers required to sit at Hotel Information Desks to greet CCMA Visitors, give directions, recommend restaurants etc.

Room Monitors – Monitor events located at the Shaw Conference Centre, check for valid delegate registration badges at conference events, assist with set up or supplies requested as necessary
Opening Reception, Industry Brunch and Gala – Volunteers required to assist with set up, decorating and take down, greeting guests, monitoring credentials, assisting with assigned seating etc

First Aid – Security – Public Safety – First Aid Certificate required

Awards Show – must be available Sunday September 12th to sell programs, fill seats etc
